A Pathfinder Second Edition adventure

Forest’s Hart

Coedmyr is dying.

The old mountain village was once known across Gloam as a place of pilgrimage. Wealthy travelers climbed the long road into its montane forests seeking silence, austerity, and spiritual renewal. The hardship of the trek became part of the promise. The village learned to sell what it only partly understood.

Long before the pilgrims, there was real magic here. The forest was not scenery. The twilight rites were not performance. Shrines were tended, hunts were answered with gratitude, and the dead were given back to the land with care.

Now the rites have faded with the elders. The shrines go untended. The old hunting customs have become half-remembered stories. The young leave when they can. The forest that once drew pilgrims up the mountain has grown thin, quiet, and mean.

The Ministry is drawn to Coedmyr by a disturbance felt through old druidic channels: life caught where death should have carried it onward. On the road in, the party finds the first signs of the wound. A stream runs thick and dark. Birds call in wrong voices. Malformed beasts spill from the trees.
